Job Summary: Drive growth by increasing sales within key strategic accounts, including key customers and strategic focus segments. Represent the full Moxtek Optics product range, and build strong, professional relationships to promote our value and win new business. Take full ownership of account development, coordinating internal teams to support opportunities. Provide monthly business updates to maintain accurate forecasts using CRM. Adhere to Moxtek's strategy to ensure consistent execution. Success will be measured by revenue growth, new business wins, improved profitability, and high customer satisfaction.

This role requires working closely with the other members of the Sales team to build and maintain long-term partnerships with target accounts and distributors to increase long-term revenue. This role is the first point of contact for qualifying leads, prospecting cold leads, as well as new and existing business relationships within a defined geographical territory. We are looking for an effective team player who is results driven.


Job Duties and Competencies:

  • Qualify incoming leads to assess Moxtek's response and which sales path should be used to pursue each business opportunity.
  • Effectively promote Moxtek Optics product families and provide relevant performance information to potential customers. Be a reliable customer reference for specific solutions to meet application needs.
  • Work with marketing team to identify and reach out to target accounts in key industries to:
    • Identify key contacts within the account organization that contribute to application or business decisions.
    • Creatively contact key contacts via email, phone, and industry events.
    • Determine specific product performance needs required to contribute to the prospect's applications.
    • Maintain regular contact to build reputable relationships where value is communicated.
  • Nurture accounts to meet criteria defined by the Business Development and Product manager and managing the sales process when a viable business opportunity is identified.
  • Support and provide Marketing with messaging content as well as R&D / BD with observed solution needs to penetrate key market segments.
  • Perform constant pipeline management ensuring key opportunities are up-to-date in the Customer Relationship Management system (SLX) and maintain customer data.
  • Provide accurate and timely forecasts (through the CRM tools).

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers, engineers, and other team members.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Technical understanding of Optics. Ability to learn polarization of light and its applications.
  • Effective at working with customers, technical experts, engineering teams, and Sales and Marketing.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, with an ability to source new business opportunities critical to the growth of the Optics business unit.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, CRM software
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Education and Experience:

  • BS degree in business discipline or engineering / science.
  • 3-5 years of experience in technical business development, sales, or marketing.
  • High technical capability to sell complex optic solutions
  • Fluency in English.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • CRM proficiency

Preferred Skills & Abilities

  • Time management and prioritization.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin or Japanese.
  • MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience in semiconductor or optic manufacturing
