Description: | | The Process Engineer for X-Ray Windows will be on the floor working with operators addressing real time manufacturing issues while driving yield improvement 75% of the time. In addition, the engineer will be responsible to document manufacturing processes, train operators, and make improvements in the current manufacturing processes. | Duties: | 1. Uses problem solving and decision making tools to analyze a situation and determine a best course of action
2. Gather raw data and process that data into a meaningful form using tools such as:
Flow charts
Pareto charts
Control charts, etc.
3. Report and present data effectively in meetings
4. Document processes and tests
5. Use understanding of engineering and manufacturing principles and practices to identify potential problems with engineering designs and processes and then improve them
| Qualifications: | 1. Bachelors degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Chemical engineering
2. 5+ years experience in process engineering
3. Six sigma and/or lean manufacturing training preferred
4. Epoxy, wet chemical, or high vacuum experience desired
5. Experienced with controlling processes using run charts
6. Understands process capability and variability
7. Able to create a DOE matrix and interpret the results
8. Hands on engineering, i.e., Go and See
9. Demonstrated strong statistics back ground
10. Strong communication skills both written and verbal
11. Work well with teams. (engineers, operators and managers)
Additional Focuses
This position will be on the floor working with operators addressing real time manufacturing issues while driving yield improvement 75% of the time.
Evidence of driving yield improvement projects from conception to implementation.
Knowledge of LPCVD (low pressure chemical vapor deposition)
Si Wet etch experience (anisotropic etch)
Knowledge of Silicon wafer properties
Chemical cleaning of metals
Metal (Al) evaporation deposition
Polymer spinning/lithography
Previous experience in selection of Epoxy for high vacuum applications
