The RMS manager is responsible for the coordination and management of the Regional Medical Specialists (RMS), and their activities. This individual will play a key role in the development of a long term vision and strategy for Medical Affairs and the RMS position.
This position is field based, with 2-3 days spent in the field and 2 days spent in a home office each week. Frequent travel is required (~50-75%)
| Duties: | 1) Personnel management and performance evaluation
Leadership and development of Regional Medical Specialists
Oversight of RMS activities in cooperation with area sales managers
Directly evaluate RMS presentation/education skills and events
Development of metrics to evaluate impact of RMS interventions
2) Active liaison between Medical Services, Marketing and Sales
Coordination of internal training and continuing clinical education of sales force
Represent the RMS team in weekly Medical Affairs and management team meetings
Assist in the creation and implementation of corporate strategies for increasing the utilization of Myriads products
Coordinate the creation and distribution of educational materials
(Clinical Updates, literature reviews, responses to new publications)
Key Skill Set:
Willingness to lead and define new strategies
Experience building relationships with health care providers
Strong project management and organizational skills
Ability to interact effectively in team environment
| Qualifications: | BA/BS minimum; advanced degree preferred. Management experience required. Five years management experience in a healthcare, educational, or sales environment preferred.
