The university is experiencing tremendous growth adding new positions monthly and is seeking an outstanding Dean/Director, College of Information Technology.
WGU headquarters is located in Salt Lake City, Utah at the foot of the beautiful Wasatch Mountains (site of the 2002 Winter Olympics!). Reporting to the Provost, the Dean/Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the College, and specifically for improving student success as measured by student progress, retention, graduation, student satisfaction, and ultimately graduate success.
S/he is responsible to develop and maintain high quality, competency-based undergraduate and graduate degree programs that are responsive to market needs, and that enhance the national reputation of WGUs IT College with both employers and within higher education.
The Dean/Director manages the faculty and staff of the College to achieve College and University goals. The College of Information Technology currently serves approximately 1,750 students, and has been growing over 30% annually.

Duties: |
Responsibilities:
Increasing student success as measured by student progress, retention, graduation, student satisfaction, and ultimately graduate success.
Ensuring the quality of academic programs as measured by enrollment, employer acceptance, graduate success, and market recognition.
Motivating, managing and developing the staff and faculty measured by individual and College performance, employee retention and satisfaction.
Working with the IT College Program Council to improve current degrees and develop new degrees that are responsive to market needs.
Improving current degrees by continuously evaluating and updating the competencies, learning resources, assessments and learning communities.
Recruiting quality staff and faculty members who bring credibility and prestige to WGU.
Efficiently administering the operational budget of the College

Qualifications: |
Requirements:
Demonstrated success as an operating executive
Significant experience developing and delivering adult online education
Specific experience in developing and delivering IT education/certifications
Earned PHD or equivalent academic degree or significant senior-level industry experience
