Job Overview
Seeking a self-starting, detail oriented, team playing, hands-on leader to lead MediConnect Globals US corporate accounting functions. Successful candidate will oversee US GAAP, internal controls, consolidated financial statements, financial reporting and external audits. Position will report directly to Senior Director of Global Accounting.

Duties: |
Oversee general ledger accounting, AP, AR and billing teams
Responsible for US accounting activities / staff and continually improving service to internal and external clients
Involved in banking transactions and related accounting
Ensure compliance with all accounting, internal control, and company policies and procedures; update / maintain policies and procedures; establish new policies and procedures as needed; drive implementation of best practices
Prepare corporate consolidation and bank compliance reports; assist with federal, state, and local tax return preparation, risk management, audit support and other matters as necessary; ensure that firm is compliant with all third-party reporting requirements
Develop and monitor accounting department metrics and corporate performance dashboards
Stay abreast of current accounting pronouncements that affect the business

Qualifications: |
Action oriented; responsible; self-starter
Experienced leader; able to mentor and develop team
Strong interpersonal skills; effective written / verbal communications skills
7+ years accounting / auditing experience
o 2+ years experience at Accounting Manager level (previous Controller preferred); month-end closing cycle and financial statement preparation experience required
o 2+ years experience (including engagements as the Senior/In-Charge) in public accounting required (two to six years preferred); Big 4 accounting firm preferred
o Experience with Sarbanes-Oxley controls
o International accounting / business process outsourcing experience a plus
CPA with BS degree in accounting from top program; Masters degree preferred
Deep understanding of / experience with general ledger, billing, A/P, A/R, and treasury functions
Superior financial modeling skills; able to accurately integrate data from multiple systems
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
Navision general ledger software and SQL query experience a plus
